In my latest photography series, Off Season, I aimed to capture the strange stillness of places during their transition between seasons. These photographs explore the odd beauty that emerges when familiar places are stripped of their usual vibrancy. Silent landscapes reveal a different kind of charm—one that exists beyond the peak moments of human presence. What truly fascinates me, however, are the makeshift docks left behind by people—structures that stand in stark contrast to the surrounding natural order. These temporary constructions, often built with little regard for permanence or practicality, stand as strange monuments to human effort in an environment that doesn’t ask for it. They appear almost absurd in their awkwardness—crooked piers jutting out into the water, leaning cabins half-constructed from mismatched materials. They seem to belong to another time and evoke a sense of human impermanence, an attempt to claim a fleeting moment in a place where nature remains constant and unyielding.
